Finally went for a ride Empty Finally went for a ride

Got home from Egypt and finally put Insurance on the shovel.

Went for a three hour ride today - sure felt good, loads of power compared to the bloody geezerglide.

No need to gear down to pass just wick the throttle and go.

Petcock I rebuilt still drips, transmission stud still leaks (been fixed twice with Rays method), handlebars still drop down a bit on a bump - just push em back up a bit....lol.

My ass is numb and my shoulders are sore from the apes.  Kicked my guts out a couple times to start it.  Finally might need a new battery after 7 or 8 years.

Shovelheads rule Very Happy cheers

Thanks Dennis. Nope - never mothball her. Day trips around the Valley won't be a problem. Not sure I can take what you and the Kootenay gang (and Coopster etc) do on a regular basis any more for distance riding. The bike can easily handle it, my body fails to be impressed.
