I saw em Monday nite in Kimberely, they were leaving Tues. noonish. I was at work, looked outside....pouring, bet they got hit hard. Hoping to make it next year.

I highly recommend the trip for those who think they might want to go.....Ya we got wet, more than a few times, got dry too!!! In a nutshell the trip was epic.....the shovels ran like champs, barely a hiccup...I logged over 4000 km's there and back. Met lots of great folks along the way. The guys we met from Portland were just awesome.....as opposed to the rainbow riders we met up with in camp sherman oregon.....good folks no doubt but I was pretty suprised that the hardcores from shovel us were sporting road sofa twinks......that left a fuckin shit taste in my mouth.....if we can travel 4000 km's to show the canadian support well......you know what I mean? Its called shovelfest west, not rainbow riders of america weekend.
My suggestion if you guys want to do that run, we should talk to the guys we hooked up with from Portland. They were a group of around 14 guys all riding shovels that me and sunny got to hang with for a bit on the way back and I will tell you that the experience of riding with 16 shovels in formation was just fantastic....couldn't wipe the smile off me and sunny's face. That put the trip over the top without a doubt. So we could maybe hook up with them for the ride down, and have maybe 20+ shovels riding together that would be sweet.
