Re: Anyone hear able to bore cylinders
we use the local napa shop here in cranbrook dave,,,never had issues with em,,,not sure what the turnaround time would be,+plus the shipping costs ect, ect, but I like their work,
theyve been helping keeping old Harleys alive in the kooteneys for years,,,, its a new guy doing the boring and honing now,but he was taught by the original guy (greg)
and seems to be doing alright,,he did sunnys jugs and it went to redwoods and back, and everywhere in between,,,

Dave, Koot is right, the guy at Napa (Frank) is a good guy, send em down here with your wish list and we will take care of it.

Koot that sounds right in the ballpark....my complete head redo (new valve seats, guides, valve seat grind, assembly) plus the hone on cylinders was just over $300 all together....I thought he was real fair and I saw at least 2 other sets of shovel jugs and heads in there when he did mine....think he works on quite a few.

So yes to your point about cost for bore I can't see it being much more than $100 clams

do you need a bore?
If its new cylinders and slugs you may only need a hone job….my new cylinders and slugs where very close and only needed a little honing and then get a good crosshatch….?
