Yes I have officially departed the sea going work of last 35 years.

It ain't the shovel that has a tractor beam - it's my freakin back.....

Maybe now I can take 2 days to get to Toad and 4 to recoup then 2 to get back instead of 4-1/2 hours each way, lol.

If I can find a real seat for the shovel I can take longer trips on her.

Of course now that I am no longer working I shall not be able to afford the ICBC rates for 2 bikes. Maybe I'll use Chico's address and get my AB license back.

It was a couple (3) years earlier than I wanted but with the offer they made me I couldn't turn it down.

With 100 people offshore being let go and 400 more in the office I figure it's time.

Basically they were looking at the old higher paid guys offshore to get lost to save 100 million for next year.

Greeter? All they do is smile when you come in and rush to check your "purchases" and receipt when ya set off the alarm as you leave.
Less alarms being set off if you were there with some iron hangin off your hip.
And a good greeter dries the carts off on rainy days and pulls them suckers apart for us old folks with bad shoulders.

LOL the greeters at our store can barely walk themselves Denn. They'd be asking you as a younger fella for help pulling the carts apart :>)
