Xmas Treats
Second time writing this thread, frustrating to lose the whole fuckin thing with one button swipe...fackkkkk!!
Couple things folks might find interesting:
Decent inner primary from slarsonroy on Shovel US site
Coffin tank I found on chopcult, outta california, gonna "revise" a bit with the help of a tig welder friend...
Yeah Koot I think it's similar to the one you've got?
Repurposed a beat up FLH/FLT seat bracket for my solo saddle set up on the FLT....built a new fender bracket outta 1/8 x 3" flat steel, bent over a dolly mounted in my vice (damn that sounds bad), welded the rod to it...

Noticed those repaired engine case mounting holes in slarsonroy's post.Wondered why there wasn't a reinforcing ring to fit in there and bolt through to the cases.Otherwise it looks very decent.
Nicely done on the seat bracket.
Coffin tank for the ------------???

Coffin
I'm toying with the idea of using it on the big twin flathead project...you don't see coffin's around much and once Koot gets his rigid project done he said he may possibly run his coffin on there...would be really cool to see such tomfoolery in the valley, hearkening back to days of yore, and I dearly love body work and painting so its right up my alley.

And I was only home for 153 days, away for 212

Re: Xmas Treats
Workin on the coffin...
Started sanding old paint any holy shit what a nightmare, seems somebody rattlecanned it with extremely heavy coat of metallic paint...went with heat gun and spatula instead...at least their heavy paint job preserved the tank pretty well, looks good underneath.
Seems to work pretty good...gonna be alotta work to refinish this ol thing....prolly apply some thin body filler in places to smooth it out again, but I love this kinda stuff so lookin' forward to it.

Re: Xmas Treats
Checking fitment after tunnel cut out...once Hambone tigs the altered tunnel in there it's gonna sit just the way I want...
Gonna slide it back about 3/4" - 1" from this, will have good clearance for steering
Sadie don't care...she'd rather have a sidecar
