Minor facelift
No not for me! What could possibly be done to fix this face...that would cost less than $100K...
Ever see a Rubberglide without the tins? Scary how similar the twinks are...even the offset (spaced back) triple trees...anyway I pulled the tank and front fender for some paint and decal work to get her near factory as I can...aiming for collector plate.
Sorry for the grainy shots...ipad ain't such a good camera

Removed the old decals with light heating and peel
Then trimmed decals so only 1/8" border around and taped a hinge on

Remove half of backing beside hinge, carefully stuck down working from hinge to edge with credit card sized plastic spatula...remove hinge and do same on other half
Removed decal covering and...Finished...just gotta clear coat

Re: Minor facelift
Did a lot of decal application in my city days. Many stop and other signs. Curved surfaces are tough to get not only the wrinkles but also little trapped air bubbles from happenin. Some bubbles don't show until the small bit of air in them heats up and expands. A sharp pin came in handy to puncture the bubbles and coax the air out. My "credit card" applicator had a loose sleeve on it that prevented any scratchin on the decal surface. Looks like you got good placement of the ball & wing on your tank.
