I am trying to figure out if there is spacing issues with different transmission/motor combo's. The reason I ask is as the years went on the tranny mainshafts and motor sprocket shafts kept getting longer to account for electric start, then belt drive and what not. So for example if you were to put a late 70's ratchet top tranny in a frame with a cone motor that had and 81 and later sprocket shaft would there be issues with alignment or do you just offset that with the 4 speed tranny plate, cause i know you can get tranny plates with differnt offsets, or do you have to match up tranny mainshafts with sprocket shafts?
