making a windscreen for batwing
I decided to put a batwing on the FLT. It's one I ran on my FL years ago, had to slightly adapt mounting brackets but it fits pretty good.

Only thing is I don't have a windscreen that fits it because the FLT nacelle is different from the FLH nacelle, so have to custom build a mount and screen. I did have a stock FLT style windscreen from sharknose that I can't use for anything else, so cut the top off it at about 7" depth for a "shorty" windscreen.

adapted a piece of 'hand-formed' aluminum strip (shaped to fit contour of fairing top) and drilled holes for mounting bolts...

windscreen from sharknose was a bit more curved than required, so bent it flatter and drilled holes to match aluminum mounting strip... changed shape a bit but will trim to suit mount...

a better view once bolted

removed from mounting strip to trim with my specialized grinder (I'm not the Charlie Daniel's of the torque wrench, I'm the Charley Pride of the angle grinder)

all for this morning...gonna complete mounting brackets next, then the final push
