The Golden Spruce
Any of you BC guys read this book? Man, you loggers are tougher and meaner than any AB oil patch trash that I know.

Haven't read the book,Zaac. There use to be a Golden Tree over off the road from Yooboo to Port Albernie.Don't know for sure if it was Spruce or Fir.Some vandals cut it down.
From a quick Google ,It looks like the book was set in Haida Gwaii and the tree had the same demise.

Re: The Golden Spruce
An ex-logger turned environmentalist cut down a sacred tree in protest. The book explains that most of the forests in the world are gone. Some will never grow back. Seems there are too many people that want to live in houses. What can you do; it's the same with oil. Think I'm gonna go back to Sask and get the natives to teach me hunting and gathering. I wonder if they remember how.

Sunny,
The guy's latest book "The Tiger" is a lot about how the Russian's live off the land. Think that will be my next read.
Next year I am gonna get a few friends to show me the in's and out's with hunting. At least when the grocery stores go empty I'll have a fighting chance; or prolong the suffering...lol
All I need is a .30-06.
