Heard nothin but bad results from usein Kreme (sp?) but;the last time my tanks were painted (10 yrs.+) the painter took it on to do my tanks w/ it.I've never had them peal.Once I took out some gobs of it but they caused no problem. He must have prepped well and used a heavy coating.

Hey Koot...tank question Empty clean tank first

Post  jmac11 Fri Dec 25, 2015 6:05 am

The cleaner you get the inside of tank the better it sticks.
Step one Do this wile the old lady,s away
step two seal bung hole
step three throw a hand full of nuts and bolts, drywall screws in tank
step four seal gas cap
step five wrap in old blanket and secure with ductape
step six throw in dryer at cool or low heat for a hour
step seven get it out of dryer before old lady gets home
step eight un seal and clean out shrapnel
step nine blow tank out with air
step ten wash tank out with a NON petroleum product [rubbing alchole]
This works like a hot dam
I missed steps one and seven  that didn,t work out so good scratch jmac

POR-15 is a good product.  Used it on a couple of sets of tanks.  You will catch a buzz doing it in an enclosed space.....

My new flatside tanks I tried the Caswell product.  More expensive and harder to swirl around in the tanks due to it being a lot thicker when mixed.

Next time, back to POR-15 for me.  It never failed or delaminated from my tanks - but I always did them from new.

Kreem sucks.
