I was reading on the shovel site where Ranman from Boise is setting up camp at the sherman site near sisters. That is only 30 miles west of the 97 from Redmound Oregon...should I reserve a spot there? Sounds like a few guys like Bore have said they might drop in there? Or should we just wing it as par usual....we gets there we gets there? Might be a cool stop over if we are in the area?
I seen you made a comment on that thread?

Twang, If we leave here Tues PM, and make it to somewhere just north of Spokane Tues nite, that leaves us about 7 hours from Sisters by my rough calcs using GoogleEarth. That's a pretty fair distance but an early start shouldn't be a problem to be there for Wed nite eh? sunny

Hey Sunny and Koot Empty Uh Wednesday?

I thought they where gonna be there Thursday? Maybe I am confused yet again....generally I am mostly because I don't even know what day of the week it is let alone the date.
Well Wednesday is probably do able, but like you say an early start a guy should be able to put some miles behind us for sure.....I usually figure you can put about 600 k in a day on a shovel. Weather dependant of course.
The long range temps for that area on the east side look favourable for crossing the flats. Says calling for low to mid 20's so that helps....this week its 30's...
