Been there --done that.My excuse: I was in Montana---Air temp 100+ deg. ---pulled in for gas and just stepped off.Brain was so fuckin hot that I was dazed. 70 yr. old pump attendant helped me stand it up.
I manage to drop mine at least once per summer.Side stand gave out in Pemberton, ferry near Nelson B.C. slammed the dock and caught me off guard and a bad side road angle in Alta. got me when I tried to make a Uey.
They are heavy when fully loaded. There has always been a helping hand right close.Otherwise I'd have to take off all my camping gear, tour pack and glass bags to get it up.

Wade does it have them crash bars on it? If not better soon invest in a set just to be safe....cheap insurance. Them big road pigs are easy to set over.
