Drano and I had planned on it only if the regular crowd is there for a couple of days.

Problem is, now looks like your Twin can't go, and there will be no gut truck this year. Mary posted on FB that it will be campfire cooking....

I'll keep watching this thread and will update via text. Final decision in a week or so I expect.

Talked to Drano last night when we went shooting:

He's heading out the 24th to visit relatives in Edmonton, Red Deer, Calgary then south to Nanton then out Hwy 3 and a planned meet at Toad for the Long weekend.
He thought he would try and meet Coop in Nanton area but if'n Coop is setting up the shop then he'd just head back west himself.

That would have me riding out to Toad by myself, not a big deal, hopefully the geezerglide doesn't break down, lol......

If most are not going or only for a night then he will head home from Southern AB and we'll figure out something else to do that weekend. I'm not going to ride out, spend the night and ride home with a hangover like we did last year.


There is room here and/or at his place should anyone feel the need to head to the OK Valley instead.

John, FWIW I spoke with Coop Sunday and there is very very little chance he can make it. They need to move into the new shop and he can't leave his partner high and dry.

my plans have taken a u-turn...I'm headin to Brooks to help Carlos move into his new shop...the fucker has done so much for me over the years and always gone above n beyond...pretty impressive for a man with such a low IQ...but he's got heart the dirty old bastard and I need to help him out here...ok enuff with the tears, stop crying all you over-emotional weirdo's... I'll certainly meet up w you folks down the road this summer...have a great July 1 all ye Shovel ridin' miscreants...

Well I made the decision that I'm not heading to Toad this weekend.

Will have to catch you all some other weekend or if you make a trip out this way.

Drano is on his 'AB visit relatives' bike tour, if he comes through from the South on Hwy 3 through Coleman not sure which way he will go to get back here.

He has 0 sense of direction so you never know if he stumbles upon Toad on the way home, lol.....

Was good to see Denn weekend of 7th then a small group of Shovelhead crew weekend of 14th, at Toad Rack...hope ya'lls are taking advantage of the good weather and great riding conditions.
