Yep, I'm basically all healed and the bike went thru inspection OK so I'm good to go! Eye is still a little messed up, don't really think it will ever be normal again but hey, its a small price to pay....

Yep, apes passed, they are about the same height as my shoulders cause I'm tall, fortunately the inspector is as tall as me.

Sounds good Hammer - mine are mini-apes on 4 inch risers and they are just at my shoulder. My BS signal lights would probably pass (even though they are not 'DOT'), but I have no reflectors left on the bike which would be an issue. I dread the day when a cop hands me a 'Safety it' ticket.

Dave - good to hear you are back working. With the dollar the way it is I would have thought the RK would be a good deal here. That said the oilfield workers are selling off their toys big time. A guy I have not seen for 35 years showed up here yesterday on a ride from AB. His buddy with was riding a 2008 RK or whatever they are called - all the bells and whistles, detachable stuff and 16,000km for 11k.

Guess I'm gettin out of sorts with tryin to get the bike ready, makin sure Bren has all she needs for my time away and the physical exertion of haulin a BIG wheelbarrow of hay from way back down the powerline up to the barn.
Got a bad feelin that my shakin front end isn't gone yet.Gotta load all my gear on and check it out.Damn weather is the shits for testin it out.

I was t-boned 20 yrs. ago.I'm thinking that hit plus hittin that deer have buggered up something in the frame.Tryin to remember if I redid the neck bearings after the deer smack. The cups may have been reinstalled in a different position.Their slight distortion in that different position is causein the shake.

Hey Den maybe the bike is smooth and you've contracted Parkinson's, so you think it's shaking ?? Lol.

Well I got no sons and I refuse to park the Weerier for any longer.
I packed a bag of cat food (17 1/2 lbs.) in the tour pack yesterday.Almost home and to see how well the bike track ,I lifted my hands of the grips.Tracked straight ahead until I leaned back and then the front end went to a shakein.Wasn't going fast and the shake wasn't hard to stop with hands back on the grips.
Put a little more preload on the neck bearings today.Still pissin rain til Sun.
After that sunny sunny sunny sunny .
Maybe get a fully loaded test ride on Sun.Too late to do anything else to correct.Come what may I head out early Mon. morn for the 6:20 am ferry.
