While out stompin down divots from the horses,I found a purple starfish. Like a Star @ heaven
I live 5 mi. from the closest salt water and as that is estuary mudflats,it's not really starfish habitat.  No
How this fresh starfish,found under a densely limbed pear tree,got in the yard is a wee bit of a puzzle.
Best we can figure it was brought up here by a bird.No seagulls are trippin by here lately.We've had eagles in the area but this doesn't seem like their sort of food and why bring it up here.The young have fledged.
