I will be heading out west mid to late morning on the 17th, hoping to make it to cranbrook early evening. What you guys got for plans for the 18th? Heading out at the crack of noon Laughing

If we get away early evenin we can dirtbag camp in Idaho or Wash the first nite...or get a cheap motel. Newports a nice little town, or Priest River, about 3 hours from here.

Ya haven't even left yet;but, when are you fellas goin ta be back in the trench? I'm outa here on the 26th early. Weathers predicting thunderstorms. Same as usual.
Gotta make sure the headlight works before I bugger off at 4:30 am. Last two years I ran my spots cause it calved sometime before I left.
Anywho,I'm goin ta be spendin the long weekend at Toad Rock and then? Got time to kill before The Horsethief.

I thought you were maybe all ready for the crack of dawn on the 18th so if we ain't leaving until the afternoon then that gives me extra time to bugger along.....and I don't have to have the hammer down all the way.
So was there any particular roads you guys had your hearts set on traveling? Or any sites that ya had in mind to see? I was fingering if we took that US 97 we could take a gander at that Crater Lake, if we have time....Its a pretty desolate road as far as going thru any big centres. There is a town called Bend that is probably Cranbrook size but mostly just the odd hole in the wall town. There is a stretch of about 130 miles that looks like flat grassland.....but everything else looks likes wooded? Any comments appreciated?
