Post  sunnydog on Wed Apr 10, 2013 10:03 am

Maybe I'll post some more pics of the Shovel, got it all together now, finally got the front hub and brake setup, with a full rebuild of the star hub (thanks for the kit Larry you rule man), workin on finishing off the sissy bar.

So here's an addition I'm thinking of adding as an add-on

As usual, I start with the highest quality materials and shop equipment

Not sure...whattaya guys think? It kinda balances the wing on the back, but I don't want this thing to get too busy.

Well keep an eye out for thin stainless--i.e.-old toasters, pots & pans. That might be an option. It'd be easier to bend but might be hard to cut if too thick.I've cut some thin S.S. with good metal shears.
I saw a couple older visors at the swap last Sun.The older ones are nice. They have a little longer peak on them.I've already got one so i passed on them.

Denn, my nacelle is kinda "brushed" Alum, not professionally brushed, just grubby and wore, which I prefer as a finish...thinkin a guy could relic a piece of aluminum once it was bent to the right shape. I will keep my eyes peeled for such an animal, heck I might even have to venture to Canal country and see if there's an old car swamped in the river with somethin to scavenge off it...found some nice side chrome from a '58 Plymouth over in the west the other week, thing looked just like Christine except blue and a 4 door.

You like that one too? Reminds me of my marriage. I get home from work and no supper ready. Then I get the "I thought we could go to McDonalds". Then I blow up like Bud did...lol. Right up there with Star Trek Smile
